We are so excited to be sponsors of this year’s Fast Forward 15 charity event ‘The Bingo Ball’. In doing so, we are able to support causes that are important to Team TIC, including mental wellbeing, women in the events industry and the LGBT community.
Taking place at the Excel on 8th March 2022, after the first day of Confex, the event will attract event professionals to celebrate and network. There will also be several rounds of bingo, a raffle and auction with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Organised by this year’s mentees, ‘The Bingo Ball’ will raise funds for Fast Forward 15 and MindOut, a mental health charity for the LGBTQ community in the UK.
As a previous mentee of Fast Forward 15, I know first-hand the impact Fast Forward 15 has. Fay Sharpe OBE, founder of FF15 shared, “We really appreciate the funds The Intrepid Collective are donating. Half the money goes to Mind Out and, of course, to running the FF15 programme with education days, collateral and web management. The money you have donated will go towards this year’s graduation and running our next year’s programme. We can’t thank you enough.”
Charli Briggs, founder and director of Eventure and a member of this year’s Charity team, says “The support which The Intrepid Collective has given to Fast Forward 15’s charity event, The Bingo Ball is truly amazing. We look forward to them joining us on the evening.”

See you at the Ball!
Fast Forward 15 is a not for profit mentoring scheme founded by Fay Sharpe OBE in 2014. Having worked in the hospitality, events and travel industry for nearly 30 years, Fay recognised the struggle faced by women in the sector to get impartial advice and support in planning for career progression as well as managing their personal ambitions. With around 75% of the industry being female but less than 20% in top-level positions, she set about doing something about it. Now going into it's 8th year, Fast Forward 15 empowers women to be the best they can be - evolving their careers, developing new skills and reaching their goals.
MindOut have a range of mental health and wellbeing services which are all for and ran by LGBTQ people. The services they have range from low-cost counselling, advocacy (this is problem-focused support to empower people to make their own decisions so they can feel in control of their life), peer support groups, suicide prevention services, 50+ project (which is supporting LGBTQ people over 50 as they tend to experience social isolation and loneliness), telephone befriending (which started during covid), peer mentoring project and our free anonymous online support service (which can be accessed worldwide with internet connection).
